In the field of thick-walled steel components, there is still no cost-effective and technically meaningful alternative to classic film technology. However, when it comes to thin-walled objects or light alloy components, a comparison with various digital media is a worthwhile exercise.

In particular for serial testing of complex light alloy castings, our linear detector scanner with its excellent conditions regarding scattered radiation delivers substantially better image quality than the more widespread flat panel detectors.
