Members of the new Working Group Standards at their constituent meeting: Björn Hansen, Björn Schöber, Gordon Bublies and Thorsten Flor (from left to right).

On 08.08.2023, we established our in-house Working Group Standards, which will deal with current issues of standards in the field of radiographic testing on a quarterly basis.

The working group will use its expertise to advise and support our managing director Thorsten Flor in his capacity as an active member of the DIN standards committee NA 036-00-03 AA, including the revision of DIN EN 12681 Part 1 and Part 2. Mr Flor represents GfR on the DIN committee as the successor to our owner Mr Wilfried Hansen, who passed away in April 2023.

In addition, the new working group standards deals with internal issues of standards that are relevant to radiographic testing. This includes in particular the evaluation of new requirements of revised standards within the scope of our flexible accreditation according to Cat. III according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025.

Managing Director Björn Hansen, Gordon Bublies as Head of Testing Services and Björn Schöber (Testing Supervisor) were appointed to the working group as experts, all of whom are certified according to ISO 9712 Level RT3 and have decades of practical experience in radiographic testing according to a wide range of international standards. The working group is chaired by Thorsten Flor.

If necessary, external experts are consulted for special issues.

GfR thus once again underlines the importance of recognised regulations and their compliance for the quality of in-house radiographic testing.
